Chiamaka AGU

I am a versatile and highly motivated professional with a background in biochemistry, pharmacology, and toxicology. My journey began with a B.Sc in Biochemistry from Madonna University, followed by an M.Sc in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Uyo. Throughout my academic career, I discovered the transformative potential of data analytics and machine learning in addressing complex challenges in biology and healthcare. This realization propelled me to pursue certifications in data analytics and machine learning through the African Learning Academy, further enhancing my ability to apply data-driven strategies in real-world scenarios.

My professional experience includes serving as a Research Assistant in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Lab at the University of Uyo, where I conducted significant research on the hepatoprotective and nephroprotective properties of Zea mays L. I designed and executed experiments, utilized statistical tools for data analysis, and published findings in reputable journals, contributing to the scientific community's understanding of plant-based pharmacological interventions. Additionally, my role as a Community Health Advocate allowed me to lead initiatives that successfully reduced the incidence of Lassa Fever through evidence-based decision-making and collaboration with local health organizations.
