Engaged to resolve persistent design-time problems in a legacy Windows Forms application after internal attempts had not succeeded. Diagnosed and resolved all but one of the identified issues during the contract.

Returned as lead developer for the SDLC Guidebook after a 45-month engagement on the same application. Mentored new team members and continued architecture and development work.

Re-engaged for four successive assignments involving dosimetry, engineering change control, earned value management, financial reporting and equipment requests. Developed Angular and TypeScript features and REST integrations for the Dosimetry Data Processing System.

Produced detailed end-to-end design documents and implemented .NET, SQL Server and web components in a waterfall delivery environment, consistently completing assigned work ahead of schedule. Introduced design-documentation and code-generation techniques to internal developers.

Automated mandated terrorist-list screening and Insurance Bureau of Canada reporting, reducing processes that took days or weeks to minutes or less than an hour. Corrected a legacy IBC reporting problem that required manual intervention, saving an estimated $100,000 annually.

Joined the PTS Command Centre project when it was weeks behind schedule. Developed across ASP.NET administration, Windows and WCF services, store clients, data integration and automated deployment.

Sole architect and developer of an iPhone/iPad point-of-sale system using QR codes and secure web-service calls to manage prepaid customer accounts. Built and hosted the supporting services, incorporated user feedback and trained event staff.

Built ETL and web-automation components for financial-institution lien registration. Mapped external government workflows and introduced flow-based documentation and code-generation techniques.

Led development for Participating Policy Shareholder Services and Critical Illness Morbidity projects involving data transformation, compliance reporting and global data consolidation. Reduced a shareholder-service process from about 145 person-hours annually to approximately 8 hours.

Developed SOA services for a Citizenship and Immigration Canada claims modernization integrating Java portals and legacy mainframe systems. Delivered high-risk integration work on time and on budget and built automated scripts to compare results from the new and legacy systems.

Founded and managed a helicopter business for ten years, gaining experience in business management and the regulatory requirements of aviation operations.

Completed three and a half years toward a four-year specialist BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto, University of Trinity College.
