Stephanie Escobar
@stephanieescobar
Bilingual early childhood educator specializing in kindergarten and self-regulated learning.
What I'm looking for
I’m a bilingual early childhood educator who builds structured, standards-based learning for young students—especially in diverse international and immersion settings. I hold an M.A. in Elementary Education (May 2021) and a B.A. in Education (Psychology) (May 2020), graduating with honors.
In my current Kindergarten Teacher role at Lycée International School de Houston, I developed a comprehensive English Language Arts and Numeracy roadmap based on TEKS standards. I partner with French teaching colleagues to align learning maps, adapt instruction to different linguistic backgrounds, and support students with self-regulation strategies during daily transitions.
I bring a strong classroom-management foundation, using visuals, positive reinforcement, and consistent group and individual routines to foster independence and a safe, supportive learning environment. I also maintain positive, professional relationships with parents and students by providing detailed narrative reports on progress and achievement.
My experience also includes Pre-K teaching at Primrose School and leadership as part of the Bilingual Language Camp Program at Concordia Language Village, where I implemented daily language curriculum and coached learning-group staff. Through student teaching and multiple field experiences, I developed skills in culturally relevant pedagogy, technology-supported instruction (Zoom, Google Classroom, Seesaw), and individualized support for diverse learners.
