At RTI International, I lead and contribute to research and evaluation in behavioral health, substance use, violence prevention, and criminal justice for federal, state, local, and philanthropic clients. I design implementation, process, outcome, and impact evaluations using quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and quasi-experimental approaches.
I’ve contributed to more than 20 proposals totaling about $30 million, including leading proposal development for funded BJA evaluations and research design for funded CDC studies. I also lead projects, teams, budgets, and client relationships, and supervise junior staff.
For the NIH HEAL Harm Reduction Research Network Coordination Center, I developed a codebook and tools to harmonize common data elements and review project data across nine harm reduction studies. I also designed an authorship guideline tool to support cross-site analysis and manuscripts.
At City Year, I led monitoring, learning, and evaluation for a dropout-prevention program, analyzing data on students, teachers, and AmeriCorps members to inform strategy and program improvement. I hold a PhD in Public Policy and am pursuing an MSW at Winthrop University.
