I've built AI-powered health-tech and fintech products, including Equalution at smartSense Consulting Solutions and Wakandi Pay at Akeo Software Solutions.
At smartSense, I lead a five-person cross-functional team delivering an AI calorie-tracking app with autogenerated meal plans. I integrated OpenAI and Gemini for meal extraction and menu scanning, built a LangGraph and LangChain chatbot backed by Qdrant, and improved meal-plan generation performance.
For Wakandi Pay, I helped build and maintain a multi-country African payment platform, integrating providers including Airtel, TigoPesa, MTN, NMB Bank, COOP Bank, and Mpesa. I used Redis for reliable payment callbacks, RabbitMQ and gRPC for service communication, and Jest in TDD environments.
I've also migrated Taggbox from PHP to Node.js, built e-commerce backends, and developed real-estate and CMS marketplace modules. I care about clean code, scalable APIs, data pipelines, and production-ready AI systems.
