What I'm looking for
I’m a medical receptionist focused on smooth front-desk operations, accurate patient information, and clear communication between patients and clinical teams. Since 8/17, I’ve supported Stonybrook University OB-GYN by scheduling, confirming appointments, and managing check-in so visits start on time.
In my role, I collect personal, medical, and insurance information, then enter and scan documentation into the EMR/Billing system. I also prepare schedules, coordinate front desk workflow, receive and convey communications between doctors, nurses, and patients, and assist with scheduling patient procedures (including amniocentesis with genetic counselors).
Before Stonybrook, I worked as a medical receptionist at Optimum Care Family Medicine LLC (8/13–8/17), handling referrals, test result communication, and document processing through filing, faxing, and scanning.
