What I'm looking for

I'm looking to continue advancing disability access and independence through client advocacy, care navigation, community partnerships, and practical solutions that help people overcome systemic barriers.

At Independence Care System, I support people with disabilities in pursuing employment, education, housing, and individualized goals through counseling, care navigation, and documented plans of care.

I've expanded my responsibilities to conduct Plans of Care and welcome calls, serve as a Care Navigator for a member with complex needs, and write a formal policy defining the Independent Living Associate role and operational standards.

My work has also included disability-rights coordination at Rikers Island, where I advocated for reasonable accommodations, managed a caseload of more than 40 incarcerated people, and coordinated workforce re-entry resources. At BCID and CIDNY, I built partner networks, guided people through benefits and transportation access, and led workshops for more than 2,000 participants.

I've represented organizations before elected officials, community audiences, and the media, including contributing to a New York Times feature. I bring a relationship-first approach grounded in listening without judgment, navigating complex systems, and turning community needs into practical access solutions.
