What I'm looking for
I’m a learning scientist focused on measurement integrity—building AI-assisted assessment and learning analytics systems that keep outcomes honest, not inflated. My work centers on psychometrics, item design, and evidence frameworks that translate research into products.
At Alpha School, I led platform engineering for a high-school math research and assessment hub, organizing 19 investigations by ESSA evidence tiers (I–IV). I also shipped a digital SAT prep app to production with a 700+ item bank, combining AI generation with human curation to preserve assessment quality.
I institutionalize “quality gates” that protect validity, including automated checks that recompute the truth behind each answer and fail the build on mismatch. I’ve also engineered cohort-level scaffolding where difficulty is treated as a calibrated property to support adaptive instruction and assessment design.
My background spans curriculum and evaluation leadership, from IB MYP mathematics coordination to IRT item construction and review for national admission exams at Universidad de Chile (DEMRE). Earlier, I designed automated pedagogical data pipelines across 52 campuses and supported a self-learning platform at Preuniversitario Cpech, and I continue this measurement-and-design approach as a co-founder defining personalized mathematics direction at MACT.
