At SynapticSynthase Research, I research pathologies from their underlying systems and tissues through to possible therapeutic leads. I use genomic, proteomic, and literature research with a de novo drug discovery approach I devised.
As an independent bioscience researcher, writer, and editor, I worked on oncology, immunology, targeted cancer therapies, and protein engineering. I devised a targeted cancer therapy using a monoclonal antibody-controlled intein as a molecular switch and a constitutively active caspase, and published research in three journals, including Elsevier’s Drug Discovery Today.
I also wrote scientific content for varied audiences and edited manuscripts published by Pfizer. My research included therapeutic evaluations and analysis of an on-target, off-tissue clinical trial involving a chimeric antigen receptor.
Earlier, I managed pharmaceutical and healthcare technology projects, including clinical trial systems and a document management system. I also co-founded a nonprofit to fund scientific research and helped establish its IT infrastructure and fundraising strategy.
