Samuel Vasquez
@samuelvasquez1
Aspiring cybersecurity analyst focused on network defense, incident response fundamentals, and identity & access management.
What I'm looking for
I’m a cybersecurity student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, combining coursework with hands-on network analysis, cybersecurity operations, system administration, and security awareness initiatives.
I build and test my skills through detailed projects where I analyze packet captures using Wireshark and CloudShark, troubleshoot TCP/IP communications, and interpret network behavior to resolve connectivity issues.
In simulated and lab environments, I strengthen enterprise defenses by configuring routers, switches, VLANs, wireless access points, and firewall settings in Cisco Packet Tracer, applying network segmentation and network defense concepts.
I also deepen my security practice through IAM-focused work and phishing/social engineering scenarios—documenting suspicious indicators and translating cybersecurity recommendations into clear technical documentation.
