What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level cybersecurity role where I can strengthen network security skills through hands-on analysis, secure configuration work, and clear documentation. I want growth toward industry certifications and experience with risk and compliance thinking.

I’m pursuing a B.S. in Cybersecurity at Gannon University, building practical skills through hands-on network analysis and security fundamentals. I’m actively working toward CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ to strengthen my foundation and validate my technical growth.

I analyze network traffic using Wireshark to identify protocols, packet behavior, and communication patterns—then differentiate normal vs. abnormal activity to understand potential security risks. I also design and configure network environments in Cisco Packet Tracer, applying IP addressing, subnetting, and routing, and troubleshooting connectivity with tools like ping and traceroute.

I pair technical execution with clarity and governance thinking: I create structured security documentation for labs, translate complex processes into repeatable step-by-step instructions, and develop a risk-based mindset. I’m deepening my interest in Governance, Risk, and Compliance through foundational work with NIST and ISO 27001, and I’m eager to bring this blend of analysis, implementation, and risk awareness to a role where I can keep learning and contribute.
