What I'm looking for

I’m seeking an internship opportunity where I can bridge DevOps and cybersecurity—building automated CI/CD, securing cloud infrastructure on AWS, and contributing to SOC-style threat detection—while growing and delivering value from day one.

I’m a self-taught DevOps & Cybersecurity Engineer from Nigeria with hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS, and engineering Security Operations Center (SOC) simulation environments. I’m passionate about bridging DevOps and Cybersecurity to build systems that are secure, automated, and production-ready—using competitive scholarships and real-world projects to keep leveling up fast.

In my projects, I built a complete SOC lab from scratch with Splunk SIEM for real-time threat detection, simulated attacks with Kali Linux against Windows and Ubuntu VMs, and designed multi-index log management using Splunk Universal Forwarders. I also engineered a GitOps CI/CD workflow with GitHub Actions (linting with flake8, testing with pytest, and PR-based deployment) and delivered a production-ready, containerized AWS deployment using Docker, Nginx reverse proxy, HTTPS via Let’s Encrypt, and secure secrets management with GitHub Secrets and AWS IAM best practices. I’m actively seeking an internship opportunity to contribute, grow, and deliver value from day one.

Containerized AWS Deployment

Personal Project

Containerized a Flask application using multi-stage Docker builds and deployed it on AWS EC2 with Nginx configured as a reverse proxy. Automated end-to-end HTTPS with Let's Encrypt and set up GitHub Actions pipelines for secure, continuous deployments using GitHub Secrets and AWS IAM best practices.

SOC Simulation Build

Personal Project

Built a Splunk SIEM-based SOC simulation from scratch for real-time threat detection, ingesting and analyzing logs from Kali Linux, Windows, and Ubuntu virtual machines. Simulated brute-force and authentication/geo-IP attack patterns and designed a multi-index SIEM architecture for scalable log management.

GitOps CI/CD Automation

Personal Project

Implemented a GitOps CI/CD workflow using GitHub Actions to automate end-to-end deployments from pull requests. Enforced code quality with flake8 and pytest on every PR and integrated Trello-based task tracking into the development workflow.
