At Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, I teach English as an Invited Assistant while pursuing a PhD in Education Science at UTAD. My research focuses on fostering critical thinking in future teachers, including work on the Eydigifolio project.
At the Research Centre of Basic Education (CIEB), I have worked on critical thinking in initial teacher education. My research has included systematic literature reviews, data analysis, and presenting and publishing work at national and international conferences.
My academic background is in English language, literature, and linguistics. I’m especially interested in piloting professional training for university teachers using the OECD’s 2023 framework to develop critical thinking in higher education.
