What I'm looking for

I am seeking a role that fosters innovation and collaboration in biotechnology.

I am a dedicated researcher with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Instituto Superior Técnico, where I focused on the synthesis of polyesters and co-polyesters using biocatalysis. My thesis involved using immobilized enzymes in environmentally friendly solvent conditions, followed by thorough characterization of the synthesized polymers through advanced techniques such as HPLC-SEC, NMR, and FTIR-MIR. This foundational work has equipped me with a solid understanding of polymer science and biocatalysis.

Currently, I am a Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Lisbon, where I apply my knowledge in various laboratory techniques, including PCR, HPLC, and CRISPR. I also assist in teaching Biochemical Engineering, preparing students for hands-on laboratory experiences. My role as a part-time researcher at the Lisbon School of Engineering has further honed my skills in multivariate data analysis, contributing to the development of a prototype for clinical diagnostics.

In addition to my research, I have a strong commitment to education, having tutored students across various age groups in subjects like English and Biology. I believe in fostering a collaborative learning environment and have successfully managed teams to enhance internship opportunities for students in biotechnology. My diverse experiences in both academic and practical settings have prepared me to contribute effectively to innovative projects in the biotechnology field.
