What I'm looking for

I'm looking to apply geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and data-quality assessment to impactful land-use, environmental, and spatial-data challenges, while continuing to combine research, teaching, scientific communication, and collaborative work.

I'm developing intelligent methodologies for land-use land-cover change detection through a doctoral scholarship from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. My research builds on work at Universidade de Coimbra and INESC Coimbra using Sentinel-2 imagery, OpenStreetMap data, and geospatial analysis.

I've contributed to research on land-cover classification, thematic-map accuracy assessment, citizen-assisted geolocation, and the FireLoc system for locating forest fires. My work has been published in Remote Sensing, ISPRS Annals, and the International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation.

I've also taught Data Analysis and Transformation and Information Theory laboratory classes at Universidade de Coimbra, combining technical research with scientific communication, teaching, and event organisation.
