What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a fully remote role across Europe where I can build and operate scalable Python backend, payment, or data platforms, contribute to secure cloud architecture, and mentor engineers in a collaborative Agile team.

I've led backend development for Brandtor Payments' card-payments platform, serving 2M monthly active users through 12 Python microservices. I cut order-processing latency from 4.5 seconds to 800 ms and increased throughput threefold with Kafka and Celery.

I modernised deployment across AWS EKS, ECS, and Lambda using Terraform and GitHub Actions, reducing deployment time from 45 minutes to 6 minutes and infrastructure costs by 35%. I also established observability with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Sentry, cutting mean time to detection from 40 minutes to 5 minutes.

Previously at Cedarline Systems, I built Django and Flask APIs handling up to 10M daily requests, developed ETL/ELT pipelines across 15 source systems, and improved p95 API response time by 70%.

I enjoy building reliable, secure systems and helping teams deliver them well—through TDD, code reviews, mentoring, and practical Agile collaboration. I'm based in Berlin, hold an EU Blue Card, and am available immediately for remote roles across Europe.
