What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an opportunity to lead health informatics and electronic surveillance work—turning complex health data into actionable insights—while strengthening pharmacovigilance, data quality, and monitoring & evaluation through strong project delivery and stakeholder collaboration.

I’m an experienced Health Informatics Specialist with 10+ years’ experience strengthening health data systems, electronic disease surveillance, and pharmacovigilance. I bring a practical blend of informatics management, data analytics, and delivery through strong project planning and stakeholder engagement.

At the Infectious Diseases Institute, I’ve built capacity for pharmacovigilance systems across 14 African countries in West and Central Africa and supported national global health surveillance capacity under the TDDAP2 programme. I focus on making systems usable in real operations—strengthening electronic workflows, governance, and reporting mechanisms for decision-making.

I lead data analytics and database work to turn complex datasets into actionable insights. I’ve maximized the use of SQL and NoSQL, used R (including the AMR package) for cleaning and analysis, and delivered dashboards and reports—such as a KPI dashboard in Power BI integrated with R—pulling from diverse sources including web, Microsoft 365, ODK, and remote PostgreSQL databases.

Earlier, I managed antimicrobial resistance (AMR/AMUC) surveillance data, developed integration and sharing approaches for One Health AMR, and supported real-time event management and surveillance systems with the Ministry of Health. I also trained and mentored local and international practitioners, including technical assistance to 35 district local governments in management information systems and monitoring and evaluation.
