Rodney Collins
@rodneycollins
Experienced translational medicine scientist and lab leader driving CLIA/CAP-compliant imaging and biomarker development.
What I'm looking for
I am a translational medicine scientist and laboratory manager with extensive experience in anatomic pathology, multiplex imaging, and CLIA/CAP-compliant assay development. I have led multimodal imaging projects, built tissue banks and TMAs, developed validated IHC/IF and genomic assays, and collaborated with academic, industry and CRO partners to produce clinically useful datasets for ML/AI applications.
My background includes interim and regional lab management, project and contract management, vendor and CRO oversight, and technical training across platforms (Pannoramic, Orion, NanoString, Akoya, Leica, Cerner/CoPath). I deliver process improvement using Lean Six Sigma principles, ensure regulatory compliance (CLIA, GLP, HIPAA, JCAHO), and train teams to sustain high-throughput, quality-driven translational research and clinical workflows.
