I’m a patient-focused healthcare professional with 3+ years of experience guiding people through appointment scheduling, insurance authorization, and care coordination in fast-paced clinical and pharmacy settings. I’m at my best when I can communicate clearly with patients, providers, and insurance representatives to remove barriers and connect individuals with the resources they need.

In my current role as a Medical Assistant in a high-volume primary care practice, I serve as a patient-facing point of contact coordinating scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations for a diverse patient panel. I document patient encounters and support activities accurately in EMR systems, use independent judgment to triage patient needs, and provide clear, plain-language patient education on medications, follow-up care, and preventive services.

Before that, I built strong insurance and patient-support skills as a Pharmacy Technician, where I resolved billing issues with insurance providers and secured medication approvals, while also assisting customers with medication education and prescription-related questions. I’ve also served as a Security Officer at American Airlines, responding calmly to incidents and emergencies and completing detailed documentation—habits that carry into my professional commitment to safety, follow-through, and compassionate, culturally responsive advocacy.
