Roberta Ramasamy
@robertaramasamy
Deputy Head of Academics transforming curriculum and culture through empathetic, future-ready educational leadership.
What I'm looking for
I am a visionary, values-driven educational leader with nearly three decades of experience inspiring children and educators to achieve their fullest potential. I lead with empathy, clarity, and a forward-looking vision for teaching and learning, anchored in nurturing the whole child—academically, emotionally, and ethically.
In my current role as Deputy Head of Academics at a co-educational school, I oversee entire academic operations in the Intermediate Phase, leading HODs, Grade Heads, and Subject Heads. I drive curriculum development, budgeting, timetabling, and strategic planning, while championing innovation such as STEAM, AI in Education, and ethical practices.
I build strong, values-driven communities through relational leadership and intentional staff development. I mentor interns through curriculum development, lesson critique, and growth plans, coordinate quality assurance work, and lead wellness programmes and human resource management—always creating environments where adults and children feel seen, supported, and challenged.
Academically, I pursue excellence that is both rigorous and inclusive, pairing innovative teaching approaches with disciplined high standards. I ensure pastoral systems sit alongside learning—giving equal priority to emotional wellbeing and character formation—while strengthening academic tracking, behaviour management through restorative justice, and collaboration across phases. At this stage, I am seeking a position to lead with authenticity, purpose, and courage in an international environment.
