Crizel Wilken

I am an experienced secondary teacher specializing in Geography, Social Sciences, Tourism, Life Orientation, History, and Afrikaans Huistaal for Grades 8–12 and adult matric students. I deliver engaging lessons both in-person and online, using platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Classroom.

As Head of Department (FET Phase) and temporary Acting Principal, I managed staff, learners, daily operations, and created key documentation, policies, and guidelines to improve school functioning. I have handled student discipline, academic integrity, and plagiarism cases while communicating effectively with parents and guardians.

In my current role at Tutor Basics SA I manage registration and customer liaison, support student exam registration with the Department of Education, and provide targeted tutoring in Geography, History, and Afrikaans Huistaal. I also contribute to marketing and advertising efforts to recruit prospective students.

I bring strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva, and various online teaching tools. I am dedicated, adaptable, and committed to mentoring learners and collaborating with colleagues to raise academic outcomes.
