Rita Alonso

I support the management and implementation of national and European projects in sustainability, energy transition, and energy poverty mitigation. In my day-to-day work, I develop and deliver environmental and energy education activities—especially in schools—using interactive sessions and dynamic educational tools focused on energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

I also lead awareness-raising and capacity-building initiatives for diverse groups, including social housing residents, energy managers, municipal technicians, and the general public. I contribute to organizing events, meetings, workshops, and co-creation activities, and I work closely with a communications partner to ensure project dissemination across digital platforms, including website and newsletters.

Before this, I built a strong technical and research foundation through roles such as O&M Bid Engineer Trainee and R&D Technician, where I supported proposal preparation, coordination across business teams, and research and literature review. My background in Sustainable Energy and Bio-resources keeps me focused on evidence-based decisions—using tools like MS Office—and on turning sustainability goals into practical, measurable outcomes.
