Senior frontend developer and feature lead improving performance with React/Next.js, Vue/Nuxt, and GraphQL.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Senior Frontend Developer and Feature Lead focused on building high-performance web experiences with React/Next.js and Vue/Nuxt. I combine modern UI engineering with GraphQL (Apollo) and TypeScript to deliver measurable improvements and durable frontend standards.
At PENN INTERACTIVE, I owned frontend architecture and performance strategy for high-traffic Casino Engagement surfaces. I led a large-scale refactor of the Casino Lobby rendering approach—using Claude Code—to implement offscreen unmounting and isolate GraphQL subscriptions, reducing client memory by up to 89% and subscription traffic by over 90%.
I also redesigned data fetching by replacing monolithic, page-level queries with a layout-driven introspective query and component-level fetching. That work cut payload size by 80–85%, improved client load times, and reduced critical re-render times from 118ms to 12ms through component restructuring and Apollo fragment colocation.
I’ve strengthened teams through GraphQL/Apollo best practices, internal optimization case studies, and “Lunch & Learns” sessions for ~30 engineers, plus 1:1 mentoring for junior and mid-level developers. I’ve also served as a Temporary Tech Director (Acting), and earlier at Tithe.ly I raised Jest coverage to 80%+ while building accessible UI components aligned with WCAG/ADA.
