Ricardo Delgado

I've diagnosed plant diseases and physiological disorders at Oregon State University and led research on crop health at Ecuador's National Agricultural Research Institute, spanning rice, cocoa, banana, plantain, potato, and tropical fruits. My work includes isolating, culturing, and identifying pathogens, conducting laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments, and translating findings into technical reports, publications, and grower guidance.

As an independent Plant Health Consultant, I advise on plant disease diagnosis, agricultural pest management, and integrated prevention while developing training for technical and agricultural audiences. I bring a Ph.D. in Plant Science, hands-on biosecurity and Fusarium wilt experience, and a commitment to practical plant health solutions.
