At Fundación Monte Azul, I manage crop and nursery operations and oversee applied research. I completed three studies on chaya and dragon fruit substrates and dragon fruit cultivar growth, with manuscripts under review for publication.
My research connects agroecology and agroforestry with practical farming in Puerto Rico. I assessed carbon and biodiversity across 250 coffee farms spanning 1,075 acres, contributing to estimates of more than 663 metric tons of CO₂ captured, and used R to analyze soil and crop outcomes in my master’s thesis on Taíno conuco systems.
