At Stripe, I own design decisions for payment APIs covering authorization, capture, refunds, and reconciliation. I’ve improved recurring billing workflows by tightening retry behavior, webhook processing, and idempotency handling.
I’ve tuned payment processing paths with Python, Java, Redis, and SQL to reduce avoidable latency while preserving consistency. I’ve also integrated third-party gateways and improved handling for timeouts, degraded responses, and duplicate notifications.
At Commure, I led backend service design for healthcare transaction workflows and built webhook processing and reconciliation paths for asynchronous payment and account events. I improved retry and timeout handling around external APIs and worked with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Earlier, I delivered Python services and REST APIs for financial workflows at SecurityBenefit, and developed Java and SQL application features at Assessment & TechnologySolutions - TheUniversityofKansas. Across these roles, I’ve worked on payment reliability, compliance, fraud prevention, and observability.
