Quashanna Price
@quashannaprice
Bioinformatics and chemometric researcher modeling data for neuroscience and forensic science.
What I'm looking for
I work on bioinformatics and data analysis of poly-peptides tied to neuronal death in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s, using R, SAS, and Python for data-mining and modeling. I’ve also applied Bayesian statistics and unsupervised modeling to analyze and predict patterns in complex datasets.
At the National Center for Forensic Science – University of Central Florida, I did multivariate analysis of smokeless powders using FT-IR spectroscopy and chemometric methods, including principal component analysis, Bayesian statistics, and unsupervised modeling with visualization. I also supported bioanalytical applications using gold self-assembling monolayers in glucose monitors.
I’ve taught and mentored through roles at Morehouse College and as a graduate teaching assistant and lab teaching assistant at Clark Atlanta University and the University of Central Florida, preparing lesson plans, grading, proctoring exams, and guiding students with inquiry-based methods.
