Benjamin Cummins
@benjamincummins
Computational scientist blending molecular pharmacology with software and data engineering.
What I'm looking for
I am a computational scientist with a foundation in molecular pharmacology and extensive experience building software tools for research and laboratory informatics.
My PhD work focused on serotonergic receptor pharmacology and in silico approaches, including molecular dynamics, docking simulations, and creation of a python-based open-source docking pipeline.
In industry roles I developed back-end systems in Java and C#, front-end interfaces with JavaScript/React, integrated AI tools into existing platforms, and authored custom plugins and forms to streamline lab workflows.
I combine hands-on wet-lab expertise (cell assays, proteomics, in vivo models) with data analysis (Python, R, Jupyter, Stata, GraphPad) to deliver reproducible, multidisciplinary solutions that accelerate drug discovery and laboratory operations.
