Priscillah Sande

I am a qualified, passionate and empathetic Pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, committed to improving patient outcomes through medication safety and evidence-based practice. I focus on conducting health research, medication therapeutic monitoring, and implementing standard treatment guidelines in the community.

In my role at The University Teaching Hospital (UTH) Lusaka, Zambia, I verified the accuracy and validity of prescriptions and dispensed medications while maintaining accurate records of patient profiles, prescriptions, and dispensing. I provided patients with clear guidance on how to take medications, possible side effects, and proper storage, while reviewing medication regimens to identify potential drug interactions or contraindications.

I collaborated with healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans and support chronic disease management by optimizing medication therapy for efficacy and safety. I also contributed to inventory control to ensure supplies are within expiration dates and educate pharmacy technicians and other staff on proper medication handling, alongside community outreach programs that promote medication safety and health.

I am also proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and currently pursuing an SPSS Data Analytics certification.
