What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a leadership role where I can build a visible, relational culture, use evidence-informed practice, and partner with trustees and whānau to strengthen literacy, wellbeing, and continuous improvement through collaborative, learner-centred decision-making.

I am a relational educational leader who places children at the centre of all decisions. I lead in a way that is visible, collaborative and grounded in strong relationships with students, staff and whānau, prioritising collective responsibility and evidence-informed practice.

As Deputy Principal / Acting Principal at Inglewood Primary School, I have carried principal accountability across recruitment and induction, budget management, property coordination, Ministry liaison, crisis management, and operational systems. I work in genuine partnership with the Board on strategic planning and Annual SKILLS Plan development, creating implementation plans that enact strategic goals while keeping learner voice at the centre of schoolwide decision making.

I lead curriculum-based professional learning aligned with Te Mātaiaho, with a specific focus on structured literacy and mathematics. I have strengthened student achievement analysis and reporting through Statements of Variance, and I have built consistent schoolwide culture through restorative practice and staff wellbeing—championing PB4L/REACH values and schoolwide restorative practices.

Across earlier leadership roles, including Deputy Principal / Acting Principal at Urenui School and Team Leader & Scale A Teacher at Apanui Primary School, I managed complex change (including COVID-era learning continuity) and led pedagogical shifts aligned with the NZ Curriculum. I also bring governance and strategic management capability through Board of Trustees work and targeted professional development, including principal leadership pathways and te Tiriti Māori commitments.
