I’m a Japanese-to-English medical & academic translator with 13+ years of experience across medical and healthcare content, academic materials, education, tourism, and localization. I’m also a licensed acupuncturist with a diploma in traditional medicine, so I bring real domain understanding—especially for acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, and medical education.

My work focuses on specialist content that demands accuracy, terminology control, and sensitivity to readership. I’ve translated and edited acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine educational materials, course content, video scripts, and subtitles, including vascular surgery-related materials and other medical/healthcare topics, and I’ve supported academic editing and content adaptation.

In large-scale localization projects, I handle the full quality cycle: translation support, LQA, TQE, MTPE, terminology management, consistency checks, and quality evaluation. I’m comfortable organizing queries, maintaining accuracy across high volumes, and working remotely with tools and workflows such as Crowdin and SDL Trados Studio, while following terminology and style guides.

I’ve also strengthened my ability to communicate across audiences through roles like JP-EN Localization & Project Specialist and Localization Specialist & Regional Revitalization Team work involving web and social media content production. Since 2012, I’ve delivered medical and academic translation as a freelance translator/editor, and I’ve complemented this with hands-on medical experience and instruction through teaching and Oriental medicine work.
