I’m looking for a senior Rails engineering role where I can own architecture and operational delivery in secure SaaS—pairing strong engineering practice (Rails, APIs, testing) with risk-aware, human-led AI-assisted development.

I’m a Senior Ruby on Rails engineer and technical lead with 20+ years of software engineering experience across architecture, platform delivery, microservices, and full-stack product development. I’m strongest in Ruby on Rails, API design, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native delivery, with practical React/Next.js exposure.

In recent work, I’ve focused on GRC, InfoSec, and compliance SaaS—building systems for risk, controls, policies, evidence, assessments, and workflow automation. I design service-level architectures, define API contracts and domain models across distributed Rails services, and improve performance using ActiveRecord and GraphQL query optimisation.

I also advocate for AI-driven development with human ownership of production decisions—using advanced prompting, AI-assisted code review, local LLM experimentation, AI-supported refactoring, and test design. As a technical leader, I raise engineering quality through RSpec/TDD, code review discipline, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and pragmatic operational ownership.
