At Axios Systems Limited / IFS UK, I owned and evolved reporting for the assyst ESM platform, curating and enhancing more than 400 BIRT reports and templates. I rationalised 22 templates to 5 and consolidated 80 Top-N report variants into one configurable report, reducing maintenance overhead while expanding functionality.
I designed and developed assystBI, a data-agnostic client-side reporting and visualisation tool that lets users configure visualisations, groupings and measures. I also built an automated regression testing framework to compare rendered reports against reference baselines.
At the Health and Social Care Department, City of Edinburgh Council, I owned reporting and development across Swift and its AIS web frontend, delivering more than 380 reports. I used PL/SQL to modularise development and built a pre-calculation process that significantly sped up a group of financial reports.
Earlier, at Manchester Evening News, I designed and largely built a multi-user Newspaper Canvassing Database for subscriber and campaign management. I’ve also worked directly with customers to turn reporting needs into specifications and delivered training and third-line support.
