Paula Mendes

My name is Paula, and I'm a Portuguese biochemistry graduate with a passion for people,

communication, and continuous learning. Over the last few years, I've built a diverse

career that’s taken me from lab work to sales, and from local teams to international events — and now I’m ready for my next challenge.

After finishing my degree at Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, I moved to Malta on my own in 2021 to start an internship in quality control at Water Services Corporation. That quickly turned into a full-time role, where I was responsible for chemical and microbiological testing. I loved the technical side of it, but I’ve always been a very outgoing person — and I started to realise that I thrive in roles where I can connect with people.

That led me to a sales executive role at Labopharm, where I worked with clients across Malta's pharmaceutical, academic, and healthcare sectors. I represented top brands like Agilent and Mettler Toledo, and I even secured two government tenders. More recently, I joined MedTech World as a Sales and Client Success Manager, helping to organise healthcare innovation events across Europe. I worked closely with speakers, sponsors, and industry leaders from around the world — including names like AstraZeneca and Novartis — and helped deliver events in cities like Berlin, Luxembourg, and London.

I’m now looking for something new — a role where I can use both my scientific background and my people skills. I’m excited to bring my energy, adaptability, and international experience to a team that values curiosity and collaboration.
