Patton Parham

Full-stack software engineer with 5+ years building production systems end to end: TypeScript frontends (Angular, React), Node.js and Java/Spring Boot services, and PostgreSQL data models.

I’m currently an independent contractor and the sole developer on internal platforms for a group benefits brokerage. I make the architecture decisions and turn business needs directly into technical design, all in a HIPAA-compliant environment. The work covers client-facing portals, CRM integrations with bidirectional sync pipelines, and AI-powered document processing workflows using Google Gemini and Claude. I build the client’s brand guidelines into every interface I ship. I also treat communication as part of the job and send daily updates on progress and on the issues I’m resolving.

Before that, I spent nearly five years on FedEx engineering through Cook Systems. I built features for Manage Trip, a micro-frontend Angular platform for Linehaul trip and shipment management, backed by Java services and Redis for real-time search. I also built a Java service that consumed live JMS package-scan events and persisted them to Oracle SQL. I practiced TDD (Jasmine/Karma, Cypress) and shipped through Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines on PCF.

Outside of code I’m an artist and music producer (B.S. in Audio Engineering, Belmont), which is a big part of why I care so much about design and user experience.
