What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead corporate services or governance roles where I can drive transformation, strategic planning, and strict legal compliance—building high-performing teams, strengthening communication and systems, and improving service delivery through sound budget and risk management.

I’m an Executive Director: Corporate Services in the Alfred Duma Local Municipality, where I provide strategic leadership across municipal transformation, institutional development, effective communication, and legal compliance.

I lead senior teams and drive capex planning and expenditure for both internally funded and grant-funded projects. I also serve on the Bids Adjudication Committee and provide executive leadership to three senior managers and middle managers.

My approach is practical and deadline-driven: I strengthen human resource and development through Work Skills Plans and training, ensure fair labour practices, and implement employment equity, training, and development. I oversee workplace health and safety compliance, employee wellness, and the IT and communication infrastructure that supports service delivery.

Previously, as Manager: Legal services, I delivered legal advice to Council and leadership, drafted and reviewed contracts, tenders, employment contracts, and by-laws, and represented the municipality in court. Earlier roles in development planning and land reform (including Senior Planner / Project Manager and Candidate Attorney) strengthened my ability to translate policy into action—while keeping governance, risk, and stakeholder outcomes aligned.
