I got into backend engineering deliberately, I like the logic and systems side of things. Before diving into a problem, I like knowing the rules or prerequisites first, that shows in how I work.

Currently building Compass AI, a voice-driven browser assistant for a stock trading website, you talk to it while browsing, and it coordinates two agents (one for browsing/research, one for web automation) to act on the site, then pins findings on screen. The hard problem was that voice assistants go silent during real work, I solved it by splitting the system so conversation and heavy tasks run independently, with results fed back in naturally. I rebuilt the voice layer three times before landing on something that actually felt right, that iteration is what I'm proud of, more than any single feature.

Also built Lernen, a RAG document chat system, and led backend at Babcock's Computer Club, scaling systems to 1,000+ users.
