Mikko Ojares

At Mtech Digital Solutions I develop MinunMaatilani Wakka, a large financial-management and accounting platform for the agricultural sector. I work at a senior level, trusted with the most complex, business-critical parts of the system and delivering large features from initial design to production with .NET 8, Clean Architecture, CQRS, React, TypeScript and SQL Server.

I've owned the platform's integration work, including bank and SEPA payment integrations, electronic invoicing, and connections to government systems such as the Finnish Tax Administration, the Incomes Register, OP strong identification and XBRL financial-statement filing. I also built AI-assisted receipt scanning with Azure AI Document Intelligence and financial report generation, delivering each feature end to end through a peer-reviewed, CI/CD-based workflow. Complex and high-stakes work tends to land on my desk.

Previously at Avanio I developed international construction-industry software in a cross-functional Scrum team, building product features, APIs and fixes with Vue, .NET, SQL, Docker, Google Cloud Platform and Azure DevOps. In parallel I contributed UX/UI work through wireframing, prototyping and visual design.

My earlier experience includes co-founding a mobile game studio (Unity and C#), where I handled everything from gameplay code to release, as well as industrial software testing and installation-package maintenance at Hitachi Energy. Running my own company made me fast and self-directed, comfortable owning demanding work independently and learning new technologies from scratch whenever a project requires it.
