Niaj Ahmed

I am a Software Engineer based in Helsinki, Finland, with a strong background in full-stack and mobile application development. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computational Science and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computational Science and Artificial Intelligence at LUT University.

My professional experience includes developing production software in remote teams, where I translated business requirements into reliable, maintainable applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders. I have experience working throughout the software development lifecycle, from designing scalable architectures to implementing features, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

My primary technical expertise includes Java, Python, TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Azure, and CI/CD automation. I enjoy designing secure, cloud-native systems that are scalable, maintainable, and easy to operate. I also have experience with microservices, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
Outside of commercial work, I build complete end-to-end software projects to deepen my technical expertise. These projects include AI-assisted development tools, intelligent project management platforms, and production CRM systems that demonstrate my experience with distributed systems, authentication, API design, cloud deployment, infrastructure automation, and machine learning integration. Through these projects, I have strengthened my ability to take products from concept to production while maintaining high standards for performance, security, and reliability.
