What I'm looking for

I’m seeking an academic career combining teaching, applied research, curriculum development, student support, and community engagement. I want to apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to public health and development challenges in Eswatini and across Africa.

I support Eswatini’s Ministry of Health Epidemiology and Disease Control Unit to strengthen national disease surveillance, health information use, and public health emergency preparedness.

As a National Monitoring and Disease Surveillance Officer, I help implement Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response, integrate communicable and non-communicable disease data, and develop surveillance portals, dashboards, protocols, and epidemiological reports. I use Python, SQL, Stata, Power BI, DHIS2, Excel, and QGIS to analyse health data, improve data quality, and support timely public health action.

During the COVID-19 response, I worked with national and regional surveillance teams on case investigation, contact tracing, data management, outbreak reporting, event-based surveillance, and community outreach.

I’m pursuing postgraduate training in Data Science and Epidemiology and Biostatistics, with research focused on survival among children living with cancer in Eswatini. I aim to build an academic career that combines teaching, applied research, artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, and community engagement for public health across Eswatini and the wider African region.
