Nicholas Parks
@nicholasparks
Senior security engineer building SecOps security intelligence across cloud-native detection and compliance automation.
What I'm looking for
I’m a senior security engineering and architecture leader focused on turning SecOps strategy into practical, scalable platforms—CNAPP/CSPM/CIEM/DSPM and SIEM baselines, threat detection enablement, and automation that accelerates security outcomes.
At Capital Rx (2024–Present), I performed vendor selections for Security Intelligence Engineering to fulfill the SecOpsIntel strategy, then stood up and integrated CNAPP/CSPM/CIEM/DSPM and SIEM to deliver the first baseline SecOps capability. I also coordinated with SaaS product owners to populate an OCSF-based DataLake and mentored junior team members via pair programming and design walkthroughs.
Before that, I helped customers apply Threat Detection & Incident Response supporting SecOps at scale, including SRE strategy enablement for Healthcare/Lifescience customers to support NoOPS. I developed a Healthcare Datalake strategy for a medical device manufacturer and enabled continuous delivery & continuous compliance for medical device and financial services.
Earlier as a Cloud Architect and Cloud Adoption/Security Intelligence program builder, I created and executed Security Intelligence Engineering programs, built platform and security teams (training, mentoring, and hiring), and delivered cloud security posture assessments and recommendations (SIEM/EDR/CSPM). I’ve consistently driven measurable improvements—reducing new cloud environment creation from days to hours and reducing Mean Time to Recover from hours to minutes—while architecting multi-cloud, multi-region systems featuring Kubernetes and Spinnaker for resilient HADR configurations.
