What I'm looking for

I seek remote roles (contract or full-time) where I can lead backend or full-stack projects, build cloud-native systems, mentor teams, and deliver scalable, observable production services.

I am a senior full-stack and backend software engineer with over eight years building and scaling microservices and cloud-native systems for fintech, e-commerce, and enterprise platforms. I design scalable APIs, implement distributed systems, and deploy production workloads with Kubernetes and Docker.

At Safaricom I built Spring Boot microservices, integrated Keycloak for auth, and used Kafka for event-driven processing while adding observability with Prometheus and Grafana. I have led small engineering teams, mentored junior developers, and improved performance through parallel processing and multithreading.

I bring hands-on experience across Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, Python, React/Next.js, relational databases, CI/CD and DevOps practices. I focus on reliable, high-performance systems, strong code quality, and delivering measurable business impact.
