I’m a focused credit risk professional with strong expertise in corporate credit analysis and control functions. I deliver results efficiently to support decision-making while balancing business enablement with sound risk management.

Since joining Sterling Bank Limited, I’ve provided comprehensive credit risk assessments for corporate and investment clients, including reviewing credit requests tied to commercial banking and institutional (SME) clients. I was also part of the team that grew the bank’s loan assets from N1.2trillion ($888.89million) to N2.2trillion ($1.6billion).

In my role, I evaluate creditworthiness across sectors by applying internal credit rating models (quantitative and qualitative), assigning risk classifications, and preparing monthly credit reports and presentations for the Board Credit Committee and the Board of Directors. I build, review, and stress-test cash flow projections for project finance transactions and structured credit requests, while identifying critical credit risks and recommending clear mitigation strategies.

Previously at UnionBank PLC, I assessed the creditworthiness of corporate and institutional clients using credit scoring models and internal risk acceptance criteria, and I presented credit requests at weekly Management Credit Committee meetings. I also contributed to strategic product development for SMEs and value-chain lending by performing market and risk assessments to strengthen product viability, while staying aligned with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
