What I'm looking for

I seek an academic or research role in linguistics/language technology that values teaching, publication, applied language work, and collaborative research opportunities.

I am an Assistant Lecturer at Makerere University specializing in Luganda morphosyntax, language technology, NLP, teaching, and practical translation and transcription. I have published peer-reviewed articles on Luganda, presented at international venues, and supervised undergraduate research while teaching and examining students.

My background includes PhD (Linguistics), MA (African Languages), and BA (Education) degrees from Makerere University, experience as a head teacher and language tutor/translator/transcriber; and active involvement in applied sociolinguistic research and conferences. I bring strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills, with a demonstrated record of scholarly publication and community-focused language work.
