Behavioral health intake and crisis support professional focused on patient safety.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Behavioral Health Office Representative who supports patients with scheduling, insurance coordination, and calm, compassionate crisis response. In every interaction, I prioritize clear communication, accuracy in documentation, and keeping patients safe—especially during high-stress moments.
At BayCare HealthHub, I schedule appointments for therapy, medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and ketamine screenings. I guide patients through paperwork, input and verify insurance information, process copays, and ensure documentation stays accurate and up to date.
I also provide crisis intervention support by de-escalating emotional situations and offering appropriate resources, including crisis hotlines. When patients have been Baker Acted, I monitor their safety, provide one-on-one supervision when necessary, and coordinate transportation with TransCare while sharing required patient details and documentation.
Before this role, I served as a Crisis Text Line Counselor (January 2022–March 2024), handling live chats with 100+ individuals reaching out for support. I used active listening and collaborative problem-solving to connect people to individualized treatment planning and resources, assessed risk through client information gathering, and intervened with extended measures for high-risk cases—covering topics like depression, self-harm, PTSD, substance abuse, and thoughts of suicide.
