At AmeriHealth Caritas, I lead organization-wide health equity strategy and advise senior leadership on health equity, racial justice, and social determinants of health. My work includes improving HEDIS measures, and I contributed to gains of 6 percentage points in prenatal care timeliness and 10 percentage points in postpartum care timeliness.
I manage readiness for NCQA Health Equity Accreditation across multiple teams; that work resulted in a 100% score. I also oversee equity-focused initiatives with community-based organizations and providers, and chair quarterly Health Equity and Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services Committee meetings.
At Development Centers, I managed public health and behavioral health initiatives within a SAMHSA-funded Certified Community Behavioral Health Center grant program. I built partnerships with 15+ organizations and increased community engagement by approximately 50%. Earlier, I designed community education sessions at Corporate Development Institute and conducted quantitative and qualitative research at Eastern Michigan University.
