What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build scalable, accessible web applications in collaborative remote teams, combining frontend development with infrastructure and backend knowledge to solve complex business challenges.

I am a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with 20+ years of experience building scalable web applications, designing relational data systems, and managing cloud/Linux infrastructure. My core expertise covers TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and many others.

Rather than functioning as a narrow ticket-executor, I specialize in taking products from zero to one—owning technical decisions from initial schema design down to production UI performance. My open-source work includes published npm packages (@mmerlone/react-tz-globepicker, @mmerlone/mui7-phone-number) and modular Next.js application frameworks (YwyBase).

I leverage an advanced AI-native workflow to accelerate prototyping and refactoring while maintaining strict code coherence. I am actively seeking senior or staff-level remote roles within distributed teams that value architectural autonomy, continuous shipping velocity, and practical AI product integrations.
