What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can own backend systems end-to-end in Node.js/AWS while embedding application security into everyday feature work, improving reliability and developer experience, and mentoring teams—open to relocation.

I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years building production Node.js services on AWS, and I lead backend domains end-to-end on a large enterprise insurance platform.

I bring application-security review into normal feature work—then translate messy business rules into configurable systems. At Wednesday Solutions, I built a config-driven integration layer over a payment service, and an XState-based workflow engine that compiles visual workflows into flattened state machines at runtime.

My work improves real outcomes: I cut partner onboarding from ~2 months to ~2 weeks using the workflow engine plus on-demand route registration, and I’ve delivered shared platform primitives used team-wide (SNS/SQS publishers/consumers, retry-with-backoff, idempotency middleware).

Before that, I led a team of 5 and drove DevSecOps adoption as a Tech Lead / Cyber Security Specialist, including internal application security audits (API pen-testing, OWASP Top 10, JWT/auth hardening) and CI security gates. I mentor teammates, keep a high quality bar with testing/scan tooling, and enjoy shipping systems that are both reliable and secure.
