Miłosz Szczotka
@mioszszczotka
Cybersecurity student building SOC-ready incident monitoring and secure infrastructure skills.
What I'm looking for
I’m a cybersecurity student building practical skills for real-world defense. I work with networking fundamentals and both Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora) and Windows Server basics, and I use security tools like Wireshark, Nmap, and Burp Suite to analyze and validate threats.
In my home lab, I’m simulating production infrastructure with security components—OSSEC HIDS for system integrity monitoring, WireGuard VPN for secure communication, and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for centralized log collection and analysis. I also automate setup with Ansible, maintain CI/CD with GitLab CI, and use Docker and virtualization (KVM) to keep environments consistent, so I can move into a first paid SOC/Cybersecurity role focused on incident monitoring and building secure infrastructures.
