Cody McQuistion
@mickeymc
I'm building hands-on IT support and security skills through home lab projects.
What I'm looking for
I'm transitioning from plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and collision repair into IT support, bringing years of hands-on diagnostics, repairs, documentation, and customer communication.
In my home lab, I've built Windows and Linux virtual machines with basic network segmentation, configured Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu systems, and practiced PC builds, hardware diagnostics, PowerShell, VirtualBox, and Wireshark packet analysis.
I'm studying for CompTIA Security+, A+, and Network+ while documenting cybersecurity fundamentals, detection theory, and threat-hunting concepts in my GitHub infosec-workbench repository. I'm pursuing an entry-level help desk or technical support role with a long-term path toward SOC analyst work.
